The works are informed by an interest in landscape. Landscape as something that inscribes itself—beyond conventional forms of representation—into material, bodies, and memories, while also being produced by them. The materials are found. Sometimes more, sometimes less manipulated - original traces of decay and fake patina blur into each other. Important for their treatment as well as for their appearance in the show is the materials state of aggregation: Faucets, collected from many households, are melted and casted back into an interpretation of their original form. The bronze-reliefs of bird-eye-viewed people seem to meld into the surrounding surface while the welded bitumen patches never actually become fully solid, but keep being viscous.
